phrida: (Fall Out Boy)

HOLY SHIT FALL OUT BOY, MY HEAAAAAAAAAART OMG. I can't even. I'm stunned speechless, okay, What A Catch, Donnie? Yeah. Speechless, I tell you. \o/ (PATRICK'S VOICEEEEEEEEE! *dies*) and fuck you Island. >.<

I am munching on a yellow, ghost-shaped doughnut, courtesy of Stockmann (thank you, Hullut Päivät!) and What A Catch is echoing through the whole house and I have glögg (it's mulled wine, I guess, only alcohol-free, and yes I know it's a Christmas drink, BUT IT'S ALMOST CHRISTMAS ALREADY, INNIT? and I always start drinking it in, like, October, because it's awesome and CHRISTMAS! \o/) and it's Tuesday morning and I have no school and yes, okay, life is awesome. :D

The problem with LJ: we all think we are so close, but really, we know nothing about each other. So I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. Ask away. Then post this in your LJ and find out what people don't know about you!

Do you have any spiritual/religious beliefs? (I have a feeling you might have talked about this before but I can't quite remember :x)

What social/political topics are likely to get you most worked up?

& a lighter question - what's your favourite ice-cream flavour?

THESE QUESTIONS MAKE ME :D A WHOLE LOT, JFYI. :D

Spiritual/religious beliefs - I don't belong to the Christian Church, because my parents don't believe in it and neither do I, but I believe in... something? My mum's a spiritual healer, so I've always believed in, like, chakras and auras and energies and angels and stuff, and that there is something, just not the image of God that the Christian church draws up for us. :P

OMGAWD, this question! \o/ I have a kind of love-hate-relationship with politics? Like, most of the time I try to ignore it, but then something happens and I explode. One thing that's guaranteed to get me worked up is global warming and nuclear powers and shit - I've been on more demonstrations and conferences and stuff for protesting against nuclear powers than I even can remember, tbh. 8) And then always when the elections come - I'm so bummed I can't vote yet, because whenever people start doing their campaigns and promising stuff and all, I follow it really closely and then sit here and get frustrated - or just laugh - when they get elected and fail at doing everything they promised to (as Finnish politicians usually do, ahaha. :P). But, yeah, global warming, and nuclear powers - that's the two that definitely hit my ~rebellious button, ahaha. x)

It varies, actually, but my all-time favourites are chocolate-banana (I hate banana, usually, but this particular ice-cream is the best thing ever :D), green apples, and Ben&Jerry's Phish Food. ALL TIME FAVES, I TELL YOU! :D ♥

Ohhh, I remember you talking about your views on nuclear power and such now. :]

Green apple ice-cream? I've never come across that flavour and now I'm intrigued. I probably wouldn't like it so much - I'm one of those losers that only really likes vanilla or whatever-berry ripple. :(

(I feel like a failure because I've never had Ben&Jerrys! It's so expensive here so I refuse to buy it, lol.)

Yess, not for a week! Our summer break was a few days shorter than everyone else's, and so we got one whole week off now instead, WHOO! :D

Oh my god, this song is so amazing. It sounds SO much like Elvis Costello at 3:00, which makes me squeal. The whole song is so beautiful though. HIS VOICE.

October through late December, ftw~! For me it goes birthday, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas!

Favorite movie? Also, favorite stores? :D

Do you have a favorite band boy (or girl, if you want)?

These are lame questions D: I reserve the right to sneak-attack you with questions later if I come up with better ones.

I had just written out an ~epically long reply to this, and then my laptop decided that it'd be cool to randomly shut off my Explorer. ARGGGH. Anyway, here goes second attempt! :P

OMG I KNOW, RIGHT?! IT'S LIKE. UH BRB DYING, IT'S THAT GOOD. \o/ (it is Elvis Costello, isn't it? :D) You said it - it's so beautiful! I totally cried the first time I heard it. :P HIS VOICE OMG. ♥

HEE! (Hey, your birthday is really soon! WHOO! \o/ ♥) OMG HALLOWEEN, HALLOWEEN IS SO ~AWESOME! We don't have Thanksgiving here, but I celebrate it all out at Christmas instead :P And New Year's, don't forget New Year's!! \o/

Oh, man, favourite movies! I have a whole bunch, so here goes the rambling. :D Because I'm a geek, some of my all-time favourites are the Star Wars-movies, the Back To The Future-trilogy, all the Pirates of the Caribbean-movies and Ghostbusters, but I'm also all for musicals! Moulin Rouge, Evita, Phantom of the Opera, Mamma Mia!, Chicago, whatever - I'll have it. :D Also, Love Actually, the Bridget Jones-movies, The Illusionist, dance movies, and anything by Tim Burton! And, because I am not only a geek but also Brendon, apparently - DISNEY MOVIES! Omg love of my life! :DD
(...wow, that was long. Sorry! :D)
Now, favourite stores - I love Carlings, because they have really cool clothes, but they're really expensive, too! :( There is this one huge bokstore that I always hang out in for hours on end, and then there is a tiny, scruffy, really homey CD store called Keltainen Jäänsärkijä - the Yellow Icebreaker, and yeah, idk either :DD - that sells CDs of the bands I listen to, too! And Body Shop, because it always smells so good in there. \o/ There are a lot of shops I love abroad, but that list is a little too long, ahaha. ;D

I don't really have a favourite band person - I try to figure out who it'd be, and then I'm like "HIM! Yeah, he's my favourite. But, so is he... and she, too... and maybe him? And them both? And - ARRRGH!" and I can't decide, okay, I love them all. :D

Not lame at all, but sneak-attacking is v. v. welcomed, too! ;) (In fact, I'LL ALMOST BE EXPECTING IT NOW, BWHA HA HAAAA. 8D) Thanks! ♥

AW, laptop D: ftl.

OMG you're right! It is Elvis Costello! Haha, I was wondering why it sounded soso much like him, because I was pretty sure Patrick (although possessing a very lovely voice) couldn't copy that distinctive voice. Ugh, this song~ <3

I love all of those holidays XD The rest of the year is basically awesome waiting to happen.

Ha, oh man, I should probably know more of those movies because they're total classics. And I have seen some of them, but I'm definitely not as up on my classics as I should be x3 Disney movies though- I am definitely knowledgeable about those!

I've never heard of any of those (although that's not surprising with some) other than the Body Shop, it that's the store I'm thinking of. I LOVE nice-smelling lotion stores; even if I rarely buy things, I enjoy walking through them. And everyone needs a bookstore to hang out in. I don't do it as much, but I used to love wandering around a huge Barnes and Noble for an afternoon.

Yeah, I'm the same way. I'll think I have a favorite, but I am constantly changing and always surprised x3 It's better than way though, I think. Love them all; that's a good answer <3

Yeah totally! (OMG IMAGINE FOB COVERING A CHRISTMAS SONG. WAAAANT! :P)

Umm... January, because we have one week of Christmas vacation after New Year's and there is usually snow then (this year, I also like January because OMG I'M COMING TO ENGLAND IN JANUARY!!! \O/); February has Valentine's day and the mid-term break, March because it gets a little warmer then, April because Spring officially starts in April and the Easter holidays are then, May because it's May! Almost summer!, and a lot of my friends have birthdays then, June because JUNE IS OFFICIALLY SUMMER, and the Summer vacation starts then, and my birthday is in June - July, also summer, also vacation; August is still vacation, and even though school starts in August it's still warm, September because everyting gets pretty in September and I can sing Green Day (ahahaha), October because I love the colours and my BFF has her birthday then, and HALLOWEEEN!, November because... um. It's before December? :P And this year because I'M COMING THERE TO SEE MCFLYYY!, ahaha. :P And December because everything in December makes me happy, birthdays and Christmas and snow and lights and Christmas and smells and New Year's and Christmas and Christmas vacation and the Christmas party at our school before the vacation starts and gingerbreads and mulled wine and carols and CHRISTMAAAAAAAS! :P \o/

(also lol sorry for epically late reply, I fail like that sometimes. besides, I'm talking with you on msn right now? Ahaha. this is funny. :DD)

If you could only support one cause for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Oh, man, this question has been picking my brain for days. There are so many I'd support - there are so many I am supporting, tbh :P - but if I had to pick just one, it's very possible it'd be NRDC, because they cover so many of the causes I am supporting (both stopping of global warming and nature preserving and developing alternate energy sources and all. :D) and I like how they make the issues 'simpler' and more easier for people to grasp, ehehe. So yeah, probably them. \o/ Man, this question was ace! :D ♥
